Suspension

What is a suspension in stretch ceilings?

A hanger in stretch ceilings is a fastening element used to connect the supporting structure (usually a metal frame) to the base ceiling. Its primary function is to support and secure the profiles or guides on which the stretch ceiling is mounted, ensuring the desired level of sag and a level surface.

Characteristic features of suspensions:

  • The adjustable length  allows you to set the ceiling level with an accuracy of a few millimetres.
  • Strength and reliability  are calculated based on the weight of the tensioned fabric and possible loads.
  • The material  is usually high quality metal or plastic that is resistant to corrosion.
  • Types of fastening  to the base ceiling (self-tapping screw, dowel) and to the suspended ceiling profile (clamp, screw, loop).

The use of hangers is especially important in multi-level or designer structures where precise geometry and resistance to deformation are required.
